Terms & Condition

Age of Admittance
We care for children from 3 months to 14 years
Hours of Opening
Little Dino is open Monday to Saturday from 09:00 am to 7.00 pm. We close for bank holidays and on Sundays.

Settling In
Our goal is to settle all the children to make a relationship with us and become familiar within the school environment. We offer 4 hours of solving in sessions. Whether your child should be required to settle in Little Dino Daycare for more hours, it can be arranged with our manager.

Changes
We reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions of your childcare agreement without notice.

Change of Details
You should notify us immediately of any change in your registration details.

Court order
If your child is the subject of a court order, you must notify us and provide us with a copy of such order upon request.

Nappies
All nappies, wipes, creams are included in your fee, with the exemption that by the time they turn three if your child is still in nappies, they should be taken to a parent/caregiver when they move into the preschool room.

Day Care Closure

  • The daycare is closed on public bank holidays.
  • If the pre school or daycare has to close or we decide to close because of events or circumstances that are beyond our control, we will not be obligated to provide you with alternative childcare facilities.

Medical

 Emergency Treatment

Any child who goes to nursery and has an accident during our care will be given first aid by the staff. This will include the treatment of minor cuts, bumps or scratches.

Any emergency treatment or medical advice will be permitted unless the parent says otherwise in writing. Daycare accepts no responsibility for treatment given against the parents’ will unless we have been informed otherwise. If your child needs a hospital or an ambulance, we will contact the parents and visit you at the hospital.

Accident Book
All parents will be notified and will be required to sign the accident book. In case of a more serious accident or incident, the child will be immediately taken to the doctor, or the nearest hospital and the parents will be informed.

Sickness
The daycare will make every effort to notify parents if their child becomes ill at the pre school. Senior staff reserves the right to take the child to the hospital in case of emergency. Please note that minimum exclusion periods apply and must be adhered to. Our policy and guidelines are available from the Daycare Manager.

Contagious Disease
For the benefit of the other children in the day care, you should not allow your child into the pre school if they are suffering from an infectious disease that can easily be passed on to another child during the normal daily activities of the nursery.

The daycare reserves the right to refuse to accept children until satisfied they are not contagious. This is to protect other children from cross-infection. The exclusion policy of the day care is guided by the local authority concerned.

Antibiotics
If your child is prescribed antibiotics, please keep them at home for 24 hours after the first dosage has been administered in case of an adverse reaction to the medication. Antibiotics and medicines will only be administered by Day Care staff after the child has been taking them for more than 24 hours at home, and only then with written authorisation from their parents. All antibiotics must be prescribed by a doctor.

General Medication
Our policy is not to give your child any generic medicine such as paracetamol, ibuprofen or painkillers. If your child needs more than usual medication, they will need to be unwell once in our care.

Safeguarding/Child Protection

Safeguarding/Child Protection 

  • Any child who attends daycare, regardless of their racial origin, gender, physical or mental infirmity, class, religion or cultural background, has the right to protection from neglect, physical, sexual or any other abuse. We keep children safety as our top priority.
  • Little Dino Day Care has a full written policy on safety/child safety that is available within the setting.

Delivery of children

The children should be delivered by the parents/carers under the supervision of a daycare staff member and entered in the attendance register.

Collection of Children

  • Children shall not be left in the care of anyone other than those named on the childcare registration form unless authorised by the parent in person, by telephone or in writing, given to us by the parent/carer. Photographic identification or password is required. If we are not reasonably satisfied that a person can pick up your child, we will not leave your child in their care.
  • In addition, a personal visit of introduction by the parent, whoever will gather the child on occasions, is encouraged to confirm their identity.
  • If you are unable to pick up your child from the daycare by the official collection time, you must notify us immediately. A person must make all pick ups over the age of 18.
  • No person will be allowed to pick up your child under the influence of alcohol or drugs (this includes parents).

Property and Premises

 Personal Property

The daycare does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal property brought to the premises by children or parents.

Clothing

Your child will have a lot of fun during your baby time in Little Dino. It also includes messy games. We encourage your child to wear an apron, but sometimes they don’t want to wear it, because your child can get paints, pens etc. on them. Clothes, Change of soiled clothes is not the responsibility of Little Dino. Parents are requested to send children clothes that are easily washable, clearly labelled clothes that are appropriate for the weather conditions. Please provide an extra set of clothing for your child in case of an accident or need for a change of clothing. We recommend that you do not send your child in clothing that is valuable.

Food and Drink

Water

  • Fresh drinking water is available to all children throughout the day.
  • For older children, having water available to help them when they are thirsty promotes independence and self-help skills. Water will be available for young children and will be available throughout the day in a beaker or cup with scheduled breakfast and meal times based on the child’s developmental age and stage.
  • All children will be encouraged by the staff to drink water throughout the day as part of our commitment to offering healthy food and drink options.

Meals & Snacks

Breakfast, Lunch, Tea and Snacks are included in your fee. Once your child joins our daycare, we have a consumable fee. Please ask our management team about these charges and What’s included or what not, breakfast is served from 9 am to 9.30 pm, lunch is served from 12.00 pm to 12.45 pm, and breakfast is served from 5.00 pm to 5.45 pm. All the food provided is nutritious and home-cooked.

Fees

Schedule of Fees

  • Fees are paid throughout the year, except when Little Dino’s is closed for bank holidays
  • Full fees apply in case of closure due to weather or closure due to government forces.
  • The fee includes three nappies, wipes, nappy cream, sun cream, breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks. We also have freshwater from a dispenser.

Absence

Fees remain payable for periods of absence (Holidays and Sickness) as the child’s place is kept open and staff and related costs continue to accrue and are met by the nursery.

Deposit

  • We charge a deposit two weeks before your child starts at Little Dino Day Care. Once the deposit is paid, it secures your child’s childcare. If you are not satisfied with our childcare provider, you do not wish to use our service, then a full refund and will be provided.
  • Your child must be in our care for one month before your deposit is refundable.
  • The deposit will be refunded when your child leaves. This can be used as a partial payment of your final invoice. We also require two weeks notice to cancel your child’s childcare location.
  • All deposits are paid through direct bank transfer. Bank details will be given at the time of booking your child’s location.
